Title:               General Manager, Bratislava 

Based:            Bratislava

Base Salary: 60,000Euros


Role’s objective:

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the position will be responsible for ensuring the Bratislava location actively supports the growth of the business with a specific focus on maintaining the Company status and developing the structure for the future needs of the business.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the smooth running of the day to day business meets our client and stakeholder requirements adhering to the organization’s financial and business strategies
  • Assist with the development of the local company set up and regulatory and compliance environment, cost projection taking into account existing infrastructure, licensing and ongoing operations
  • Enhance the sales network within Europe targetted at UHNW clients.
  • Develop the legal framework and agreements with the wider groups services in order to ensure efficient management of operations. Ensure GDPR is adhered to across the group.
  • Ensure an efficient finance structure is developed and maintained in order to support the Groups activities, advise on the best in practice processes moving forward
  • Support the Groups initiatives to ensure implementation of IT & Communication systems and engage with IT and project teams to ensure appropriate input and approval to the enhancements
  • Develop and manage the relationship with Slovakian government agencies and financial services regulators, assist with tax matters and company registration when needed.
  • Manage the implementation of a new target operating model delivering a right sized organization ensuring that the systems and processes deliver efficient, low latency solutions.
  • Lead the development of staff in the team, including training and staff development needs, considering competitors and immigration regulations, in order to meet the company objectives.
  • Be responsible for the review and approval of any changes to process or new business products that require support by the Operations team
  • Management reporting and ensuring team meets service level standards
  • Ensure the team is constantly compliant with industry regulators as well as internal compliance and risk frameworks, develop training where needed
  • Act as point of escalation for all issues relating to service delivery for the Bratislava office
  • Management of the General Representative, Bratislava



Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role
  • Proven track record in the establishment of new business functions and operations
  • In depth knowledge of Slovakian government business regulations and incentives with relationships with key regulators an advantage
  • Ideally would have a network or experience in dealing with UHNW clients, and ideally a background from the private banking sector.
  • Experience of Target Operating Model development
  • Experience managing large operations teams with high transaction volumes and complex IT systems
  • The ability to effectively prioritise, manage deadlines and understand new ideas and concepts quickly
  • Financial services experience would be an advantage
  • Reputation for adherence to standards, policies and all regulatory requirements
  • University degree or equivalent qualification
  • Fluent English, and also having German would be an advantage.
